The Shadow Roads Minister has slammed the Princes Highway as one of the most dangerous in the country.
Andrew Stoner has started a tour down to the Victorian border, developing a policy on upgrades to take to the next election.
As police focus driver behaviour the opposition says the Princes Highway itself is just as culpable.
The Nationals Leader is backed by a 2008 coronial inquest which recommended an entire stretch of road near Narooma be realigned, something the Opposition claims has been ignored.
