Canberra motorists are being told to prepare for a rude shock next week, with major road changes at Russel and Parkes.
The Kings Avenue roundabout is set to be removed and traffic funnelled around Parkes Way and Morsehead Drive.
Commuters told to prepare for considerable peak hour delays.
To this point, work on the Kings Avenue overpass has caused minimal traffic delays. From February one - that's all about to change
The existing circular roundabout will be altered, with traffic heading down Parkes Way and Morshead Drive.
Drivers are being asked to plan alternative routes.
Commonwealth, Canberra and Fairbairn Avenues, as well as the Monaro Highway the most likely options.
