After another stellar year on the World mountain bike circuit Jared graves was considered a certainty to figure in the top two in the sports star of year award.
Graves won two world championships in 2009 in mountain biking.
He recieved a first prize cheque of four thousand dollars and was quick to take the spotlight off himself and turn it on Bryan Fleming, donating his winnings to the injured motocross rider.
Graves is now the only individual to win the senior sports star of the year award back to back.
Indoor cricketer Troy Gurski was named runner up.
Archer Lyndon May walked away with the sennior rookie of the year prize
And AWD athlete Sam Carter collected the senior chase your dreams award.
In the junior division and Indoor cricketer Blake Anderson was named sport star of the year.
Anderson captained the Australian under sixteen team to a World Cup victory and was named player of the championships.
The runner up was swimmer Hayley Wolff.
The rookie of the year went to go karter Tyler Greenbury.
And the junior chase your dreams award was presented to Adam Paroz
