Sam Clark says he's been concerned about the future of Paragon Printing for several months.
Mr Clark says, "From about December onwards the company got split up, so we started getting an incling then that something was going on. It got split into three different names, and Amir, the owner, was suddenly not around any more."
The administrators of Paragon Printing haven't publically commented since earlier this week, when spokesperson Blair Pleash said business would run as usual while the company's finances were sorted.
But Mr Clark says he is one of 25 casual staff refused shifts for the foreseeable future.
He now spends his days scouring the classifieds, hoping to secure a job to help make payments on his mortgage.
A difficult task, since Thurgoona gearbox factory D-S-I's cut 170 casual staff.
Mr Clark says, "A young girl was telling me she went for a job up on Beechworth Road, and she said for a receptionist, and there was 300 girls turned up for the job, for one position. So, you start to worry."
The Manufactoring Workers Union hopes next week's meeting between creditors will help clarify the future of Paragon's staff.
Mr Clark says morale at the factory is low.
He says, "One of the guys, a full-timer, he's really worried about his job, obviously. But the other guy's a casual, like myself, and he's totally devastated because he's 60, and he's got no chance of getting any other work."
The Paragon Printing administrators did not return WIN's calls.
