We were warned it was coming, but yesterdays announcement is only just starting to sink in,
Brisbane City residents pay just one hundred and fifty five dollars per annum to access water, four hundred and eighty five dollars less than what Toowoomba residents will pay under the new access charges. Brisbane rate payers are charged a dollar eighty four for every kilo-litre, Toowoomba city residents a dollar fifty, Withcott residents pay four hundred and five dollars per annum, two hundred and thirty five dollars less than those living just a few kilometres up the range. The Member for Toowoomba south says the rest of South East Queensland had their water grid built and paid for by the state government, and he blames the rates increase on the Bligh government's mismanagement of money,
