WICKED LOVE, adapted from the book by Carly Crawford, tells the tragic tale of a bizarre love triangle which ended in the attempted murder of Maria Korp in the outer suburbs of Melbourne five years ago.

Starring Rebecca Gibney as Maria Korp, Vince Colosimo as her husband Joe Korp, and Maya Elliot as his lover Tania Herman, WICKED LOVE is a true-life suburban thriller of passion, love and betrayal.

Maria, a loving wife and mother of two, went missing early in 2005. As she lay dying in the boot of her car, a twisted tale emerged of twisted lies, a philandering husband and the ultimate price paid by all involved. Did Tania Herman act alone, or was the charismatic womaniser Joe Korp behind the brutal attempted murder of his wife?

“This project is so completely different from anything I have done before and it really challenged me as an actor,” Rebecca Gibney said of her role as Maria Korp. “I also had the opportunity to physically transform, which really helped me step inside the role. The script for WICKED LOVE tries to understand the motivations behind each of the people involved in this extraordinary crime.”

Ellie Beaumont wrote the screenplay for WICKED LOVE, which was directed by Ian Watson and produced by Playmaker Media.
