A free information session held in Wollongong today addressed the changes, which will ensure greater rights for residents, including lowering charges for vacating and increasing the responsibility of owners. Member for Wollongong, Noreen Hay, says more information sessions will be held before the changes come into effect on the 1st of March. The amendments coincide with the release of the Federal Government's Intergenerational Report which reveals the number of Australians aged 65 and over will double during the next 40 years. The report focuses on ensuring the quality of life of seniors and increased resources in health and housing.
