NRL stars on tour
Tuesday 9, Feb 2010

The far western parts of the viewing area have been awash with NRL stars as part of the community carnival.

Towns such as Coonamble, Walgett, and Nyngan have hosted players from Manly, South Sydney and the Sharks while it was a homecoming for one of Dubbo's favourite sons in Bulldogs captain, Andrew Ryan.

NRL players right across the country will visit 100,000 youngsters across 400 schools in 80 communities promoting the game and good health.

The clubs are also on a recruitment drive with the NRL to deliver $50,000 to the first team to sign up ten thousand ticketed members.

So far it’s South Sydney and the Dragons nudging 9000 with the Bulldogs not far behind.

Officially the Dogs are the most supported NRL Club in regional New South Wales and will be calling on those fans in the club's 75th anniversary.
