Car Break Ins
Friday 5, Feb 2010

Vehicles left in broad daylight in the city are under attack.

Police say the recent spate of car break ins is accelerating out of control.

Mount Lofty the latest area to be hit,

police charging a seventeen year old with the break and enter of four vehicles overnight.

It comes after three cars this week were targeted by arsonists,

police say in some cases the offenders have broken into the occupants home first, stealing the keys and setting the cars alight.

It's prompted authorities to issue a stern warning to motorists.

But all the heartache can be so easily avoided by following a few simple steps.

Always lock your car.

Keep personal items out of site of passers by.

And if possible put your vehicle away in a garage overnight.
