Anna McMahon has recently returned home to Tasmania after a long stint on the 'Big Island', during which time she was a Getaway presenter, newsreader in Brisbane, and current affairs and magazine show host.



She has 3 young children and her hobbies include running (the only way to get any alone time!) and painting (great therapy!).

McMahon started her career as a cadet at The Mercury newspaper, before moving to TasTV (later to become WIN Television) as a reporter. 

In a prolific media career spanning more than 20 years, McMahon has been a presenter for GETAWAY, newsreader for both Channel 9 and Channel 10 in Brisbane, host of current affairs and lifestyle programs including Brisbane with Anna McMahon (Channel 10 Brisbane) and McMahon on Sunday (Channel 10 Brisbane) as well as hosting a radio talk show, Afternoons with Anna (4BH Brisbane). 

But it was the lure of raising her family in Tasmania which has seen McMahon return to her home state.
