Sam Buckingham is one of those faces that has appeared on our TV screens for over a decade now. Having a wealth of experience presenting advertorials and infomercials on programs including Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton, Mornings with Kerry-Ann, Infobreak and Bright Ideas, Sam has the ability to engage an audience across all demographics and make them feel at ease.
Her TV career has traversed the whole spectrum - from homemaker Mum to corporate business person! She gained invaluable experience with LIVE TV on TVSN, presenting and selling everything from jewellery to fashion, homewares to the latest kitchen appliance! Sam has appeared in numerous TV commericals including Amway, Chandlers, McLeans toothpaste and Real Insurance to name a few.
She has also worked as relief weather presenter and appeared as a journalist in several series on Murder Call. More recently she worked as a presenter on Talking Real Estate (Nine Network) in the latter part of 2006, and has just shot the webcast for Telstra's corporate site. Combine that with a comedy sketch for the China Post, webcasting for a pharmaceutical group and hosting a new pilot series for the Australian Film Television and Radio School, Sam has done it all! She is also due to commence shooting a documentary on Global Warming later this year, at Sydney Universities Research Lab on One Tree Island.
Her colleagues describe her as a dynamic and friendly personality with a warmth (and cheekiness!) that grabs everyones attention! She can transform herself from loving Mum to high powered corporate identity in moments, and does so with precise professionalism. And who can forget that winning smile!
Sams professional career is suitably complimented by her academic qualifications. As well as having a Bachelor of Arts degree in Leisure and Tourism (UTS), majoring in advertising and media management, she is currently studying to complete her diploma in Speech and Drama with Trinity College of London.
Sam loves almost everything in the Great Outdoors - bushwalks, star gazing, and snorkelling as well as snow skiing in winter. And those that know her well, know that she can play the guitar and sing well too!
