The committal hearing for a Gaeta man charged with a string of drug offences has begun in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning.
Fifty-four year old Anthony Ivan Nash was allegedly found with two and a half kilograms of cannabis and thirty-thousand dollars worth of proceeds of crime during a routine traffic operation in May.
In court today the defence case alleged police had invaded Nash's privacy and searched his vehicle without reasonable cause.
The barrister frequently accused police witnesses of lying.
Nash is also charged with producing and supplying a dangerous drug.
